If you remember from childhood reading, Eeyore is an extremely “gloomy gus”. He exhibits no energy, no emotion, nothing. If there is energy (whether positive or negative), organizations and leaders can work together to channel or focus that energy. When there is no energy, there is nothing to work with.
Don reminds us that this type of employee sucks the energy from others and becomes toxic to teams and organizations.
It is critical to identify the Eeyores within an organization and then engage them. This is the key to going from Eeyore to Piglet!
