In this week’s video blog our expert guide, Don Hadley, discusses the power of words.

American author, Napoleon Hill said, “Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure.”

The words we use in business to build relationships and communicate our ideas, plans, and goals are our most powerful tool. The average person speaks 16,000 words per day. The values of things change based on how much they are used and overuse can cause lost value; therefore, choosing your words carefully can dramatically impact the messages you are sending.

We encourage you to ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you take the time to choose your words carefully when communicating either verbally or in writing?
  • What impact do you want your words to have on your audience?
  • Do the words you use inspire trust, enthusiasm, and buy-in?
