We had a 1 1/2 hour meeting yesterday with two brilliant men. We discussed the business plan for each of their divisions and the implementation plan of processes, etc.  It was fantastic.

The logic was unassailable…

Yet the results were very incremental, and not embraced by the other managers/leaders.

They were not grabbing the hearts and therefore were not getting the minds of the employees.  They were trying to tell logic rather than persuading/clarifying “values in action”.

There was too much logic in the way and not enough heart.

They were interacting with the employees as they were 5 years ago, not as they need to be now to engage a better future…for everyone!
