Leaders, in general, tend to focus on behaviors and actions rather than values and beliefs. Focusing on values and beliefs is much harder to do. If we take the time as leaders to see our employees from a different, more powerful perspective, and begin to change their perspectives accordingly, this will allow them to impact people at a higher, more powerful level.

Some questions to consider:

• Do you and your leaders only focus on employees’ actions and behaviors?

• Have you taken the time to understand your employees’ values and beliefs? Are they in line with your organization’s values and beliefs?

• How do you and your leaders impact your employees’ so that it affects their interactions and perspectives in a positive, higher level?
