A few weeks ago I was in Arizona for a week. I did not receive any phone messages while out there. From 7am to 6pm it was all business, but with no phone calls between meetings and quiet evenings, I had an opportunity to feel and think about what we do as a business.

I got a break from all of the “busyness”. While I have worked for years to not let busyness control me, it is still amazing how much “busyness” still pulls and pushes that is NOT IMPORTANT, but it SEEMS URGENT either because of me or someone else.

I need to:

1. Say “No!” more often.

2. Hide from the “stuff”.

3. Challenge others to do more.

Those that can do great at the 3 steps above will have the energy and time to not only be effective themselves, but will be able to orchestrate those around them effectively. If they choose to do so, they can rule the world!
